What is your opinion on the use of Dr. Greg Forbes’ Tor:Con index in the prediction of severe storms?
I wish I could give an opinion! But the TOR:CON is a Weather Channel thing. They don’t release any math about what goes into it and how it works. So it is tough to have an opinion. Generally, from what I’ve seen over the years, it does a decent enough job. But I’ve never seen any stats on just how accurate it is, so outside of anecdotally saying, “yeah seems to work” I can’t offer much more.

Hi, Nick. Wow, what a day yesterday. But, luckily, it could have been worse. You know, you mentioned on Monday’s blog, that three things needed to happen for the worst to NOT happen. Is it safe to safe, those three things did happen for us? God was good to us yesterday, even though a few areas north of us were scary for a brief while. Thanks for all you still do for us. I’m gonna clean my porch of the pollen, even if there might still be some to come. God bless.
